Technical Preview: Digital Spaces
Changing the way people build, run and share software is no small feat. The early feedback has been great and like all companies looking to change the world feedback is paramount. We are passionate about finding software’s true potential and invite the innovator in all of you to join our journey. We have spent a great deal of time and effort building something meaningful and have worked even harder clearly identifying where we are headed. Bounding our ideas in a world of infinite possibilities was no small feat, but we are now ready for a broader group of people to experiment with the platform, to challenge our mindset, to provide the critical feedback we are looking for, and ultimately translate their ideas into reality through software using Digital Spaces.
To make sure every innovator has an opportunity to provide feedback we have decided to provide the public with a technical preview of what we have been working on — free of charge. We will be doing so using what we call Sandbox Environments. Our Sandbox Environments are where we ourselves experiment and generally have a lot of fun pushing the boundaries of the platform and software in general. This environment will be the default for anyone who registers using the Digital Spaces CLI until we launch a more formal service offering in the future.
The Sandbox Environment is an environment meant for experimentation. It is not meant to represent a final offering, but rather to introduce innovators to the idea of distributed object-oriented application architecture. Sandbox Environments will offer a subset of functionality and will change regularly as we try out new ideas and approaches. They are highly optimized for our development purposes and should not be considered viable for any type of production use. We do not offer any type of guarantee or warranty (including but not limited to performance or availability SLAs). To ensure a hassle free experience while experimenting Sandbox Environments are wiped and recreated nightly.
We look forward to hearing from the community and seeing what ideas get translated into reality through software and The Digital Spaces Platform.
